मुख्यमंत्री रघुवर दास ने साहेबगंज में चोटी कटवा गिरोह के शक पर भीड़ द्वारा महिला की पिटाई कर हत्या कर दिये जाने की घटना की निन्दा की है।
उन्होंने घटना को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताते हुए लोगों से अपील की है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति कानून को अपने हाथ में न लें, मुख्यमंत्री ने घोषणा कि कि घटना में मृत महिला के बच्चों के भरण-पोषण और शिक्षा की जिम्मेदारी सरकारी उठाएगी। इस संबंध में प्रशासन को आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिये गये है।
